History

Karyn Wejemark, our President and CEO knew someone needed those four boxes, and so began this journey of God continuing to bring people together to serve Washington. Turn the Tables Foundation was officially recognized as a nonprofit in June 2021.
As you know Washington residents continue to experience a dramatically higher level of food insecurity — from 10% before the COVID-19 pandemic to 27%, according to the latest research on food insecurity and food assistance in the state. More than 34 million people, including 9 million children experience food insecurity in the United States.
The surprising thing that makes us different. We try to help others shine. Sounds simple. You have heard all the old adages, like don't recreate the wheel, and teach a man to fish... They work on organizations too! Our partners are amazing, hard working groups with huge hearts, and they know their communities better than we ever could.

We share what we have! Our Food Pantry is open to families, big or small. We offer one on one resource coaching. We meet with individuals by appointment to help them discover resources in the area that can help as well as get them connected. We also have financial aid coaches who help our guests navigate financial aid, gas vouchers, and other applications.

Sunbreak Cares Food Bank

Sunbreak Cares Food Bank is open every Thursday from 9:30-11AM. When you come through for the Food Bank don’t worry about getting out of your car. Just pop the trunk and we will load you up with some groceries. No ID or verification needed. We are simply looking to help people as God has called us to, giving food to people who are in need.

Our emergency food organization serves the rural Thurston County area. We serve an average of seven hundred families per month.

Moon Road Food Bank

Both Leo's provide valuable service to the Littlerock Sharing Spot, Rochester, Elma, Aberdeen, and Tenino areas of Western Washington as they gather food products and make them available to the local communities. No paperwork required.
